I just bought a 92 1-ton with the 6.5L in it. I bought the truck from my buddy and a while back he put a new turbo on it thinking the original one was bad. Said he found a used GM 3 turbo and put it on in place of the original GM 1 turbo. I've never heard them called this before but he was telling me the GM 1 was a bigger turbo. Come to find out the GM 1 didn't have any problems, i have both now and was just wondering if it would make a big difference if i threw back on the GM 1 seeing as it is bigger. Any help would be appreciated.
