What engine in a 95 Suburban?

Hey, new to this forum. I'm casually considering getting rid of a 99 Tahoe and "downgrading" to a 95 or 96 diesel Suburban. I've come across a couple that I can get for a good deal, but the descriptions don't tell me what engines are in them, aside from being an 8 cylinder diesel. Does anyone know what diesel engine would be in a 95 or 96 Suburban so that I can start researching whether purchasing one would be a good idea?

It should have a 6.5 Turbo Diesel. Lots on info on here about it.

1993 was when things changed from the 6.2 to the 6.5 in the trucks - you'll find both depending on model. Then it went from mechanical to electronic fuel injection in 1994. The Subs should be about the same (I think it was the 1-tons that lagged behind in the yearly changes), so your '95 or '96 will have an electronic 6.5.
