will this t-case fit

hey guys i just bought a used t-case for my 01 dmax and a kennedy pump fix as well so this one dosnt destruct.my question is the little round silver plate on the case says model 263xhd where as the case in my truck says 263hd. below that they both say 272. they look the same or at least from what i can tell with one in the truck the other in my basement. is this going to work?

hope it is because i put the pump fix in it dont really want to take it out to ship it back anyway it goes in next week so we'll find out thanx

Isn't the x in the P/N indicate the electric version? Do you have a stick on your original one, or is it push button?

The NVG-261 is the manual-shift HD transfer case. The NVG-263 in the electric-shift txfer case.

The "x" might signify a revision or updated model of the same transfer case (my guess anyway). :)

the case fit fine,my thought was it was a little bit newer case,anyway the truck is comepletley different now no howl at 50-70 mph no driveline slack at take off and stop. wow
