View Full Version : Bucket seats in an 83 suburban?
Were bucket seats an option in an '83 K20 suburban? There are what looks to be cut-outs in my carpet for bucket seat brackets, and 4 holes in the carpet where a center console would bolt in. I've got a console, bucket seats, and would like to get seat brackets that bolt in.
Thanks.

Yup, got that very same vehicle with factory bucket seats and console. My only complaint is my buckets don't have the inner arm rest nor does my Blazer. I've been in newer ones that have that fold down arm rest.
Good news. I know what you mean about the arm rest. I've been thinking of how to put some on the seats; best I could come up with so far is a length of all thread through the seat back. Not sure how to make the armrest stop at the proper level though, or how the all thread would feel on the 'ol back.
I'm going to put a WTB ad in the classifieds for the proper seat brackets, please let me know if you come across some.
Thanks.
I've got a 91 for parts with the bucket seats . Where are you located ?

Located in Spokane, WA. If '91 brackets fit into an '83 I'd be glad to buy them from you.
Thanks.
I can get you the measurements from the mounts .
Dealership says '83 and '91 are the same body style. PM sent.
