I was ready to order marine injector kit from SS Diesel for my 02 express 3500 6.5TD with 168k mls. I drive about 60% xway and have constantly seen aprox 14.5 to 15 MPG since van was new. Oil changes every 7 to 9K with Shell Rotella 5W40 synthetic and Mobile One filter change every 4K. Carry aprox 800lb payload on constant basis. Any advice, recomendations or experince with the different injectors that are currently availabe? SS now list a fuel economy injectorset that costs about $400 as compared to the $450 for the marine injector kit.
