I started engine it ran for 2 minutes and quit, now If I remove the bleed plug on the fuel filter I have no fuel at this point. How do I check lift (fuel) pump? I am new to this engine, I have a 6.5 1995 that I nave experience on. :(

Thanks

Open the bleeder. Put the shifter in any gear other than park or neutral. Turn the key to start, listen for the pump and watch for fuel from the bleeder. If fuel comes out, close the bleeder and procede to the next step. if it doesn't the pump is bad, the wiring is bad, the tank is empty or the line feeding the pump is plugged.

If fuel came out, try to start the truck now. If it runs, open the bleeder while it's running. If fuel comes out, you're probably home free. If not, it will stall soon (go back to the beginning to get it started) and you probably need a new oil pressure switch. If it won't run you have other issues...
