Hello all... My 1995 Pickup (non-turbo 6.5) is in need of valve cover gaskets (especially the drivers side). Can this be done with remove all the injector lines, accessory drives, etc?

I am hoping maybe so, since this is a non-turbo 6.5 and the drivers side.

Thanks in advance!!!!!

The 6.2/6.5 does not use any gaskets.
The covers are sealed with a black silicone sealer.
You must remove the intake manifold and all the fuel lines.
Be sure to mark the lines as to where they go on the pump as well as the injector location.
You are best off to keep them fastened in the pairs they are in and remove as a pair too.

Get the covers off and clean all the old goop off as well as any oil and such.
Check to be sure the cover area at the rim is flat and in good shape.
Clean the contact area of the head off well too and just before reinstalling the covers you need to degrease the areas with a chemical like brake clean.

A rag soaked in it will do fine.
Place a good bead of the black high temp silicone on the cover making sure all the sealing lip is covered well with goop. Place the cover on the head and install the bolts and snug up lightly so the goop squishes out.

Once the goop has set up (next day) you can snug the bolts a tad more.

Replace the lines, manifold and other goodies and your all set.

Not an easy quick job, but not bad.
