I need to buy a new hub assembly, but they list two for my truck--regular and heavy duty. I have a 99 GMC SLE K2500 6.5; can it be anything other than the heavy duty? Thanks.

Howdy
I don't know for sure on the hub, but the brake disc can be two different ones. I have a '99 1 ton and the had to have the vin to figure out what one to use. Call your dealer with the vin number and they should be able to tell which one it is.
Hope this helps .....

What about the RPO codes in the glovebox? An F44 would indicate heavy duty for sure...

Look for the sticker on the drivers door. Generally 8600 GVW indicates heavy duty & 14bolt ff. Anything less would be light duty 3/4ton.

You might ask the boys at your local napa store, but as I understand it the true heavy duty truck comes with a cast iron A-arm on the front suspension as opposed to the stamped steel one. Hope this helps.
