Speaker recommendations for 93 ext cab

I bought 2 pairs of cheap Infinity and Pioneer speakers for the truck some time ago... they as sadly inadequate. They can't handle the bass frequency at half volume.

Question: has anyone installed 6x9 inch in the rear... if so, was it much work to cut out the metal to mount them?

If anyone has recommendations on stock 4x6 inch speakers... I'm listening.

The head is a top of the line 2008 Pioneer, 200 watt unit. I am planning to install a small amp, sub amp and sub.

You will not get a lot of bass out of a 4x6. I put 6 1/2 inch MB Quartz in the lower front door panels on my 94. I put my tweeters in the stock dash location, used MB Quartz 4x6's in the rear. I used a ADS power amp. I was looking for clear clean sound in the cab and I got that.

I thought about adding speakers to the doors... this would add some punch to the system.
