Hi all,
How do I measure torque peak RPMs on my truck?
What kind of tachometer would work on a diesel?
Thanks,
....Warne

Isspro makes a nice (to me) little 2 1/16" Tachometer that goes to 4k RPM, it uses two glue-on rare-earth magnets that you glue to the harmonic balancer. A sensor then mounts using one of the front oil pan bolts, there is a specific kit for the sensor that works on the 6.2/6.5L.

Skip the Autometer tach that uses a pickup magnet on the alternator with a big strap/hose clamp. Those things are completly inaccurate and tempermental, I had one, but it would only read to 3k with some accuracy, then it was totally wrong.
