I have a 2000 Chevy C3500-HD with a 5 spd manual transmission. How do I find the make/model?

The 3500HD had a few manual tranny options, but should be a NV4500 unless it was a special use truck (DOT dump, railroad, etc.). Otherwise, you'll have to look at the RPO sticker in the glove box for the tranny code (I don't know what the code would be), or snap a pic of the tranny and post it here for ID.

It says MW3 which under the RPO is transmission, manual 5spd, NVG, 1109mm, 5.61 1st, O/D.

Does that mean anything?

Does it look like this one?

Thanks, yes that appears to be it.

Now I wonder the best way to sell it. I'm new to this forum but I wonder the best way to sell stuff like this. I would think the local paper might be the best place since this stuff is very heavy and shipping would be very expensive.

See what they're selling for on Ebay, Craig's List, and your local class ads, and check the kbb.com value. Go from there.
