I have to let my employee drive my 2.006 Duramax on the farm, I don't trust him 100% and there's no need to go over 30 MPH ever.
Is there any way I can limit top speed to that, maybe through a chip or a programmer?
I searched the forum for "speed limiter" and "speed governor" and all I could find was posts regarding the REMOVAL of speed limiters;)

Best regards,

Welcome aboard, Charlie!

Unfortunately (or fortunately for all us gray-haired teenagers), what you found is accurate. You'll have to go to a custom PCM reprogram. I'm sure John Kennedy (http://www.kennedydiesel.com/) can handle what you need. Although, it will be a rare request of him.

Yeah, Mr. Kennedy sure knows his stuff, he can reprogram the factory chip and it's cheap to boot, about 150$, I'll definitely go that route, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

How about the Duraminimizer made by PPE? Reduces power by 50%.

If you could put it into limp mode, that would slow it down, don't know how you could make that switchible, but I'd bet Kennedy does.
