Hello everyone,
Any tips on greasing the idler and pitman arms on my burb?
I tried every contoursionist angle... I even tried from the engine compartment down... the fittings are on top of the damn arms!
I cant get the grease gun on the zirc fittings!
Thanks

Try turning the wheel.
It helps to have a 45° coupler on your grease gun. A hose extension is easier than a rigid tube. Other than that, your contortionist skills will have to do.

Try removing the two bolts that hold the skid plate against the front face of the frame's engine crossmember. The plate will rotate down, exposing the idler arm.

If you have an air compressor, you may want to look into getting an air-powered grease gun.
They allow you to use one hand to hold the tip of the gun firmly onto a fitting while using the other hand to pull the trigger, so you don't end up with globs of grease everywhere else but inside the joint. :D

Thanks fellas...
Ninety degree fittings? for your grease gun or grease zircs?
I tried to turn the wheels to allow greater access to the grease zircs... don't work.
Thanks again!
You need to turn the wheel a little but you can get them all. Remove the plastic splash shield vs swinging it down makes it a little easier
