Even with the engine condition, with all those mods that is a heck of a deal - and just the combination (mech. injection and NV4500) that I spent a long time looking for. If I didn't already have mine, I'd be all over that. As it is, it is still tempting...

Come and get it! I've got it priced to sell. The new turbo was $750 all by itself.
I'll miss the old girl. Lots of memories.

Well, it does look like a pretty straight shot along 70 and 76 to get it home... Just about 24 hours worth of road in between... :p
But spare cash is a bit low at the moment. :(

What have you got to trade? Perhaps you have a toy that I just can't live without!

Here are the pictures (I hope). I had a heck of time getting them small enough!
You may notice a small silver louver on the right front quarter panel. That is a louver covered hole that goes thru to the intake air box. It really allows the motor to breathe easier. The snorkel is removed and the sheet metal between the inner and outer layers of the fender that directs the air into the air box has been modiied so it can get air from both the front and the back of the inner fender area.
A passenger can reach this vent out the window while driving and can feel a lot of suction when I step on it and the turbo spools up. It was cheap mod. that seemed to make a big difference.

It looks good, however if the motor needs alot of work right now I may not have the time to do anything with it.

I'd say the motor needs a rebuild. It's drivable but the blow-by is pretty bad.
buffaloGuy,
I am assuming this is the truck you are looking to repower.. does the truck still run well enough to be driven any distance?
Is this the original engine that is in it now? have you any idea as to why it needs to be rebuilt? such as a cracked piston, or are the ring's worn out?
has it got 4.10's in the differental gears? or 3.73?
thanks

The motor started blowing by about 75 miles from home while towing a trailer. I made it home and have moved it several times since then. While it does, I woudln't trust it for any distance. I have another truck and a flatbed trailer with ramps so I may be able to deliver it to you depending on where you live.
The motor is not original. It was a used motor from Avant Salvage. Avant has a contract with a large corporation that remotors their delivery trucks at ~100,000 miles. Avant tests the pulled motors and then resells them to folks like us. I got about 80,000 miles out of it. I'm guessing that one of the cylinders must be scored bad enough to loose compression.
The fuel system is very good and if I were to replace the motor I woudln't touch it.
The turbo is brand new. It's was rebuilt by http://www.gpopshop.com/index.html
I paid for the larger wheel, porting and polishing. $750. It really made a big difference in power.
The clutch works fine. I wouldn't expect it to need any parts.
The water injection system works great too. 4:10 rear end. Brand new load range E tires.
