Looking for 6 speed manual out of Duramax or 8.2. Needs to have detactable bellhousing and band brake. Any help is appreciated.

You need to find a ZF-6 tranny out of a 2002+ 4500 or 5500. The 2500HD and 3500 don't have the propeller shaft brake. An NV5600 would also be a good choice, with a comparable torque rating. What will you be mounting it behind, and in what vehicle?

I thought all the ZF 6 speeds had non-detachable bellhousing. Do the 4500/5500 have a detachable bellhousing?

Thanks for the info, I searching but don't know exactly the application, but I know they exist because I saw one. I want to use it behind a Detroit (4-53) powered Studebaker (1963) truck.
