I saw you replaced your tailshaft seal. Can you please tell me the symptoms your truck had? I have fluid spraying from the first u-joint at the trans tailshaft onto the bottom of the bed and then dripping onto the ground when it sits.

Thanks,
Mike

Hey man.. Shaft seal was simple and your symptoms are the same as mine.. Oil all over back of trasfer case, drive line and under carriage..
Replacement is easy, simply pull your rear U joint apart and drop the drive line out, then gently pull the slip yolk apart.. Mine came out easy. Also, have a rag or two handy cause you're gonna spill..
I used a dead blow mallet and just tapped the seal edges and it came right out.. Wipe out the seal area after any fluid is done draining, lightly grease the seal then use a large socket and your dead blow to tap it back in.. Next be sure to clean your slip yolk well and maybe put a little bit of clean trans fluid on it to insure is slides in easily.. Replace rear u joint..
Pretty easy fix my friend.. Hope this helps.. :D
