I have a 2007 2500HD LBZ Classic, bone stock. Not that I beat my truck, but recently on a straight/semi legal interstate I was running a little fast(mph) and couldn't get it over 95mph. Is my truck programmed not to exceed 95? I have friends with gas 1500's that get over 100mph stock.

Without a program or tire size change, that's all you'll get. 1/2 ton gassers are limited to 100, just like the cars.

The limit comes on at 98 mph and is off below 95 mph. Easily taken care of with tuning.

Having seen what non speed rated tires do on the dyno at speeds over 100mph I don't go there often...

A sign that I am getting older, is that I never have knowingly bumped up against this limit.

At 16 - I would have known this fact, within 24 hours of owning a Duramax truck.

and didn't hit the limiter at 95, but didn't try to push it past that either. It IS a truck after all... And I'm 42 years old.

I'll go triple digits on two wheels, thank you very much.

1 early morning this summer I learned my 03 will only go 95 at about 75% of tach. at least a bullydog economy in its future
