See news reports that truck stops are now rationing diesel.

Some counties here in Florida are dry and w/o fuel now. With those people reporting this just waking up (05:00 hrs), I hope they can tell me they got fuel delivered last night, or it will be delivered today.

I'd like to hear from others across this nation that are in the same situation. Beside the issues in LA, MISS, ALA there seems to be a replay of the early 1970's fuel shortages cropping up across the country, seems to be spreading to quickly.

So far so good up here in the North....we'll see what happens come heating season.

Diesel running @ about 2.99. One thing I'm happy to report is that diesel is now lower than gas by about a dime to a quarter per gallon...yeAH!

Governor says she may drop or cut the fuel tax in oeder to alleviate the strain.

Gas prices were up to $3.39, but seem to have settled back down today to $3.19 (regular unleaded). Diesel is $2.89 at some stations and $2.99 at others. Gas has some similar fluctuations from station to station.

Some stations in my region in Missouri are rationing gas of 10 to 40 gallons but not here locally. Diesel is now about a quarter cheaper than gas. I can laugh at the gasaholics again. He he!!!!!!!!!!!!

Diesel here in Pine Mountain, Ga, about 80 miles southeast of Atlanta running at 2.84 to 2.99 a gal. Getting fuel last week was tough. Prices went up last week and have not come back down as yet. I do know that Georgia Power crews got power to the Colonial Pipeline last Wednesday night. schamp

Seems there's some rationing going on here in Western Kansas. The word is that some of the local CO-OP's are on a ration. Ours is just getting 1000gal/wk(about half of usual?). Not necessarily rationing at the pumps though. Might come to that before this is over.

No rationing in Southern California yet. High prices are a quasi ration. Diesel at $3.29/ gallon, regular unleaded around $2.97

In SC I have not seen any diesel pumps out of fuel yet but have seen several gas pumps sold out.

In the local news today the education superintendant warned if they did not recieve more fuel the school busses would have to stop running. I think some of the press release was political some due to supply. Katrina plus budget forcast fuel prices much less than market price. I don't know any other detail and assume it varies by school district etc.

Here in Southwest VA gas and Diesel prices have started to fall already. I have yet to see any gas pumps that are sold out, but I have seen at least 3 differnt stations with no Diesel.

This whole situation finally has me modivated to figure out why I only get 15.5 mpg city and highway. I think soot trap...
