View Full Version : How do I bleed system after installing these new injectors?

changed the injectors, now before I start it, what do I do?

before i start it, my manual says nothing about bleeding off??? yiks, do I crack the drivers side and turn key on maybe or crank &/or try to start it with them cracked????

thanks in advance for any help and tips!

If all you changed was the injectors, all you need to do is crank it.

The injectors will purge themselves out fairly quick.
Don't be supprised if the thing runs a tad rough for a little bit as the air is purged out of the injectors.

Check for any leaks and when its running smooth and you are sure there are no fuel leaks then your done. :D

I just did my injectors last Spring. Someone suggested in another thread (can't remember which) to change the injectors on one side, start the truck to bleed that side. Then change the other side. This way it doesn't have to crank as much to bleed. I did it this way, and it barely ran rough when I started it.

I do agree with Robyn, just start it up.
