My headlight on, seatbelt, ignition buzzer quit. So I get new one from GM dealer , put it in, still not working! Darn, $75 w/ taxes. Anyone have ideas where to look next?

The buzzer is activated by several systems (Key in Ign, lights on ect)
This is wired through a set of contacts in the drivers door switch that is located in the end of the dash panel.
One set of contacts runs the Dome light and the other set controls the buzzer system.
This is a ground circuit and one libne goes to the dome lamps one line goes to ground and the other line goes to the warning buzzer setup.
Any time the door is opened these contacts close and the systems operate via the grounding provided by the little switch.

Personaly I find those buzzers anoying and the failure would come with much cheering and celebration.

My 95 Dually has a bad switch and neither the dome light or buzzer work.

Just got used to turning things on with the switch on the dash.

Hope this helps

Best

Thanks. I find buzzer annoying too, but forgetting to shut lights off and having a dead battery is worst. ( also paying $200 fine for not buckling up !)
