Anyone have any idea what kind of turbo this is?

Looking at buying this engine, but I've never seen this kind of turbo, the Banks kits mount in lower in front, but this is like where the alternator should be, seems odd to me.... Guy claims is a 6.5, but I dunno, its supposedly out of an 88, plus no serpentine set up, and old school vacuum pump, so I'm guessing its a 6.2 with some sort of kit on it. I thought the factory turbo setups were further rearward as well...

That's a Banks Sidewinder turbo system for the 82-87 body style 6.2L diesel trucks. That's the same turbo manifold I have in my '81. So that engine could have come out of an 88 Crew Cab truck (87 body style), but not out of an 88 new body style pickup. The later model (88 +) body style trucks had the turbo mounted further back, similar to the factory 6.5L turbo setups.

It looks like there is a "Goodwrench" sticker on the driver's side valve cover. That should tell you if it's a 6.2L or 6.5L. It can be hard to tell from the outside sometimes.

The yellow injection pump and lines are a nice touch! :D
