Hello Moderator,

Any idea why I can not access the Members Section?

When trying to access the RPO section, a pop-up requesting my log in info appears. When I input my user name and password, it just pops up again, and again...

Thanks!

Certain portions of the website and forum require a paid membership: https://thedieselpage.com/form.htm

I thought this section was one of those sections.

All open areas of the BB Forum (where you posted this) are free once you register, which you've obviously done. The "Member's Area" (not the "Members Forum") is a separate area of TDP. The Member's Area contains unique and original articles, resources and other info, updated regularly. New articles are released monthly, and announced in the "Updates and Announcements" forum around the 15th of every month. Most of the content in the Member's Area require a subscription (https://thedieselpage.com/form.htm)for access.

How do you know if you have a subscription. I think I do but I am also unable to access the Member's area and I can't find it on my account.

You should know if you have a subscription. If you do, you will have submitted a subscription membership form (or contacted Jim personally), paid annual membership dues, and received a separate set of login credentials (for the Member's Area login). If you still aren't sure or have lost/forgotten your credentials, contact (http://www.thedieselpageforums.com/tdpforum/sendmessage.php) Jim (More Power) with your name and email. He'll look it up and get back to you.

Yep... Paid around 20.00...

Could you look me up?

Thanks!

Yea, I paid that too. I thought you had to pay that to get into this section. Regardless, this site has been invaluable since I have been a 6.5 owner. The Member's Area would be informative also though. Is the username and password supposed to be the same?

The username/password is different. If you don't know your username/password for member content area access, email (http://www.thedieselpageforums.com/tdpforum/sendmessage.php) or PM Jim for it.

We operate two different web servers; the content (http://www.thedieselpage.com/password.htm) is served from one here in Montana and the bulletin board resides on another server in California.

Normally, when someone first subscribes, a simple generic code set is enabled for them that allows access to the content server - to get people up and running quickly. Not all subscribers (only about 40%) register for the bulletin board forum.

Any subscriber can request that their BB login codes be enabled on both servers - to simplify access. Many have taken advantage of this. To allow one code set to work on both servers, there cannot be any spaces within the login name.... for example "More Power" wouldn't work, but "MorePower" or "More_Power" would. Your BB login code set can be tweaked to allow it to work on both servers. :)

BTW - DieselDavy's access was taken care of this morning. ;)
