I am looking for two special taps???

One to clean the glow plug threads and one to do the injector threads in the head. (Fine thread)

Tried the local parts store and got the "Deer in the headlights look"

Someone makes and sells these I am sure.

Anyone have a link

Thanks

That or Mcmaster Carr.
Use both prefer Mr Carr, the good thing about Mr Carr is that they will allow you to buy open account straight away and they have a good return policy.

Thanks for the info

I have a local tool company I use for US thread stuff but they do little in Metric.

This thread pitch is apparently common on bikes (as in bicycles). First place I found it online was:

http://www.victornet.com/cgi-bin/victor/productlist.html?subdepartments=Metric+Taps+and+Di es:602,902,603,905,604,605,607,606,596,599,507&gclid=CPTXu7iQ1pgCFQIyxwodrBnkdQ

Not certain if non-vendor links are OK on this site? If not, just search 10mm x 1.00

Seems GM's typical metric thread pitch choices are consistently a step coarser than the Japanese imports.

I'll second the McMaster.

I buy hundreds of dollars if not thousands from McMaster every week. Decent prices, good shipping, and there is very little that you can imagine that they don't have.
