Cracked exhaust manifold

Thought I had another exhaust leak, caused by air brake backpressure. This time, it turned out to be the driver's side exhaust manifold - developed a crack.

Was out of town, and didn't have time to weigh the options of the aftermarket replacement peice.

Bill from GM shop, parts and labor is $833 + tax.

The BD replacement manifold is less than $300, and is absent the "dent" (for the driver side). Takes about an hour to replace (or any shop can handle it, for a LOT less than the dealer). Simple. Not sure about the 4500. Is access better, or worse, compared to the pickups?

Better, if you have a hoist. Either way, its done now.
