All,
Local 'Gendarme' wrote me a warning on no license plate lights on the Tahoe last night. Anyone found any of the aftermarket LED Assy's sold that work well. I don't want to put the bulbs in the old housings as they seem fairly feeble (read useless) in design. I see LED license bolts that look like they would work OK, and other light bars that use the mounting holes.
Anybody found anything sold that worked well and be willing to share a link, or hopefully a TDP vendor.
I found these and many others on EBay by searching: license plate light

I put the brightest LED replacements from http://www.superbrightleds.com/ in mine and they seem to work a bit better than the originals. Sometimes the plastic gets too yellowed and might need to be replaced, but I find with good lights the factory spot seems to work as good as anything else.
