My check engine light comes on around 1600rpm and stays on all throughout the gears. When the rpm's drop below 1600 it goes out. I had it coded and they said code 35 and 36. I was told it was the pmd. I replaced it with a new D-tech and it seemed to solve the problem. I then put a the original "4" resistor in the new pmd and the check engine problem returned. Is it possible for the resistor prematurely failed the pmd?

any help is appreciated

Thanks

Unlikely. Did you check the codes again? Does the D-tech have an internal resistor? If it does, adding the #4 may have thrown it out of range. It would set a different code, though.

35 an 36 are often bad connections or a sticky fuel solenoid. You might try a heavy dose of a good quality fuel conditioner to see if you can free it up.

What fuel conditioner do you suggest? I have been using a Diesel 911 for the cold weather.
