I've got a 95 K2500 Sierra and i got 2 key fobs with the truck

i replaced the batteries in both but neither will lock/unlock from ANYWHERE except the drivers seat inside the truck.

do i need to replace something? antenna? receiver? if so where is it?

If it only works from the driver seat, the fob(s) probably need to be re-recognized. The procedure is described in the owner's manual, somewhere, but I haven't read it in years (10+). My 95 doesn't have keyless entry (or any of the electro-gizmo stuff, for that matter) I have the 95 service manual, and can dig through it, if necessary.

Ground pin G of the Data Link Connector (DLC, at the keyless entry programming connector, upper/right pin).
Receiver will respond by locking, and unlocking doors within 2 seconds.
Press any button of the first transmitter to be programmed.
The control module will respond by locking/unlocking doors and activating rear window release.
Press any button of the second transmitter to be programmed (if used).
The control module will respond by locking/unlocking doors and activating the rear window release (if applicable).
Remove the ground applied to the reprogrammed connector.
Transmitter operation is verified locking and unlocking the doors and activating the rear window release.

sounds easy enough...where is the DLC?

I'm not certain. The service manual isn't real revealing on which connector is the DLC. I didn't dig too deep, but can later. The DLC is 12 pins, of 2 horizontal rows (6 above, 6 below). "G" is the upper/right pin, according to the diagram.

The RKE control module is under the dash, against the left (driver side) sound insulation panel. The RKE receiver is under the center dash, behind/below the radio.

The DLC is where you stick the paper clip to get the codes. Bottom of the panel, left of the steering column...

I think pin "G" is bottom left facing the connector from the driver's seat. Upper right (A) is ground and the pin just left of that is the one you ground to get it to spit out the codes.

It would seem we are expected to do this procedure while standing on our head. This would make the connector correct with the procedure and diagram.

At any rate, John is probably right. The manual, as it describes the connector, is vague, and described the connector differently than it does for data link procedures (referring to it as the DLC, as opposed to the ALDL, among other things). The connector # is 480, if that helps.

Hmm, I see what you mean. The diagram in the manual is upside down. Note the mounting lugs on the bottom...

Look under "connector locations" and it's clearly shown with the key on top.

I noticed that, too, after a closer look. The alignment key and lugs are where they should be, in relation to the pin ID's. Your above "drawing" is correct.

The receiver has an antenna. Maybe it got burried under some metal...

Maybe use this opportunity to upgrade to a remote start and/or alarm?
