Thermostat Housing

the heater hose quick clip fitting is corroded and broken off in there.

anyone run into this or have a quick(er) idea to get it out.

i've drilled the sides out but its still too stuck in there.

i think i'm going to obliterate the threads trying to get it completely out.


its a pot metal like substance so i tried the torch too but the melting points of the aluminum and fitting are too close together.

Can you get a chisel at the remaining fitting bits & peel it in/away from the crossover housing threads?

The new steel ones are readily available. I bought mine from NAPA.
