I did a search for "boost gauge" - see post #4.

Most seem to do the flat portion of the intake. Myself, I prefer to tap the round portion where it is thickest. The primary reason for this location is that I orient the hole horizontally. A horizontal exit eliminates the "j" effect which pits strain on the tubing as it exits the fitting.

here's where i put mine

then i ran the tubing through a little hole i poked in the steering column grommet.

seemed to work pretty well.

that looks neat but could you put a 90* on that thing so you dont have that J effect JK was referring to?

Yep, no problem, I will say though, I've been using mine like the picture for
50k miles and never had a problem. But I do see the point of it and may even start to offer it that way.

Before your boost bolt, did you have the boost gauge plummed the traditional way? I'm curious if there was any difference. If you've had it both ways (or were willing to do a tap-install for comparison) and there was no noticeable difference, I would think that would help your advertising. Just a thought. Cool idea, though! Neato on the OPS relocation, too!

yes, I've done it both ways. There is no functional difference. It is just alot easier, no special tools........ and takes 5 minutes to install the TBB. Thanks for asking.

In that case, I guess there'd be no reason to even mess with the 90* setup. Sounds like you've come up with the easiest boost install ever! Very cool.
