Hello.

Im not sure is this the correct forum, but.

I am looking to swap my commanders 3.7 L engine for a diesel one (because my engine is caput.) I have been looking in to this, and the gearbox seems to bee the same as the diesel commanders one. So I found out that atleast Mercedes-Benz 270cdi and 320cdi engines pult up to that tarny. And they are allot more easy to find then the orriginal commanders diesel engine here in Europe.

My questin is what will I have to take in consiteration if I put the 320 cdi in there? Engine, Loom, ECU.... what else? And whill the rest of the cars electronics work if I swap the ECU from the original? And like the speedo and the rew meter work?

I don't have any direct experience with your swap, but in general, it's best to begin with two vehicles - one of them a diesel and your project vehicle. Having the complete diesel vehicle to use as a donor will help considerably when converting. Not only will you have the big parts, but all of the little parts as well.
