I have an 04 c4500 that I just changed the fuel filter on, and now it won't start. I just bought the truck so I'm not to familiar with it. I put fuel in the filter and spun it on, tried to start, ran for 30 sec. and died. Now I can't get it to start, is there some sort of way to prime this particular system, if so any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a pump on the top of the filter housing. There is also a bleeder screw. Loosen the bleeder and pump the pump until fuel comes out of the bleeder. Tighten the screw and pump until it feels tight. It should start. Probably run rough for a few seconds but will smooth out.

On my '04 C4500, there wasn't a bleeder screw like the 2500s/3500s...however, the primer location was the same, and you have to pump it at least 50-75 times before it will fill the filter, start and run.

The filter is in a very tight position, its a real PITA to prime...
