Morning,

Air seats- Compressor runs constantly, shut her down and listened at bottle...air leaking from small pressure relief valve...to GMC Med duty shop here in Houston..they give me a longer one ..drained tank and tefloned the new one, re start fill tank, relief valve works but Damn..sounds like the truck needs GAS-X. Compressor continues to run despite full tank.
Any one else having similar problems. post ur solutions.
Thanks

If you can find the components, make yourself a "DIAGNOSTIC GAUGE" using a gauge that reads from 0 - over 120 PSI. Remove the air tank drain and screw your new gauge into the air tank drain hole. With that said, the compressor should build upto 120 PSI or so. It will then turn on again when the pressure drops to 106 PSI or so. If the compressor runs beyond ten minutes and shows no sign of ever getting to the 120 PSI, then the compressor is JUNK! If the compressor reaches 120 with no problem but goes above and way beyond the 120 mark, or if the compressor then cuts out but then "CHATTERS" on and off then the switch has failed. There is an updated switch and relay for that concern

Relay - Exhaust Restrictor Valve Air Compressor

Switch - Air Compressor Pressure

Good luck with your compressor.
