Finally got a code concerning my stuttering ( I think) "p0251 inj. pump metering control A".
Any ideas? I have a rebuilt pump waiting to go, but is it something much simpler? Also have a new set of injectors waiting as well...Guess I'll get started. Is replacing the pump as daunting as it seems, or is it not too bad once you get going? Any tips and advice from the pros would be greatly appreciated...

Once on a start-up the engine kicked and bucked hard until I turned the key off and saw that the engine light was on. It then restarted and ran fine. I had a parts store scan to find the P0251. I replaced the filter and lift pump. It's been fine since. This was about five or six years ago.

After that I noticed that the little "fish bite" I had was gone.
