Replaceable cyl sleeve?

Hello everyone,

I have cracked block at the #8 cyl. I was talking to my neighbor and he told me that the cyl sleeves (liners) are replaceable on these motors. I've seen factory sleeves on big rigs and tractors but did not think these engines had them. I have heard that you can sleeve a damaged cyl but do not think it is worth it for me.

Does the 6.5 come with factory replaceable cyl sleeves?

They aren't sleeved, but can be. It's usually not warranted, nor recommended.

These trucks aren't built to go millions of miles (or hours) so why build an engine that would.
