Help
10 000k i had new heads put on my truck since then i have used 6 liters of coolant.
Now the truck is back in the shop they suspect it is burning coolant after they pressure tested.
What are the chances of a cracked block causeing this? i already but alot of $ in the top end.
Or could it be there new heads they installed.
I dont want them to go ahead remove the heads and find out its is the block
The reason is i would rather look for a short block and do the work at home on my own pace.

Thanks for any comments..

Would be nice to find out where its going.

Any excess pressure in the cooling system???

A Cracked Number 8 cylinder can cause coolant loss, but the cooling system will pressurise and blow over.

A cracked block in the lower end of the engine that cracks up a cyl wall will see coolant getting into the oil.

Keep us posted
