Here is information about controlling the boost mechanically or electrically: Click Here (http://forum.thedieselpage.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=008328)
I just took my vacuum pump off last week. It's easy, and you will need a shorter belt. In my situation, I used a 101" belt, but you might need a 100" belt, as I am using a larger alternator pulley.

I have Isspro Gages and a pillar and dash pod, which I purhcased from US Diesel. US Diesel (http://www.usdieselparts.com/). You can also purchase gages from Heath Diesel (http://www.heathdiesel.com/) or Kennedy Diesel (http://www.kennedydiesel.com/). Bill heath has a custom recommendation form built into his site, and you can call Kennedy Diesel for a recommendation. At a minimum, before you put a chip in, you should have an EGT and a boost gage. I also recommend a transmission temperature gage for towing.

As far as increasing power, Kennedy and Heath can also provide a chip for you to increase power. There are a few others that provide chips, but I believe these are the main ones. There is a review of the Heath chip for the 96 and newer years, which I believe will be similar if not exactly the same for your 95 year. That is available here. (http://forum.thedieselpage.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=008514) I don't have any experience with the Kennedy chip, but several members here do, including Ronniejoe. You may want to do a search through previous posts and see what people say about each chip. Note this topic gets a little heated from time to time.

If you would, please update your signature line with your vehicle information. We need to know the sixth digit of you VIN number.
