My antilock brake light has suddenly come on the dash a couple days ago. At first it would stay on after cranking and then eventually go off. But now it stays on all the time. My brakes seem fine, no issues to complain of.
Any ideas? A computer thing somewhere? Maybe it means that it's time for brakes?
All in all everything has been fine as you can tell it's been a long time since I've posted anything.

Are there any trouble codes?
The ABS system gets input from a wheel speed sensor located in each front hub and a VSS (vehicle speed sensor) signal at the output of the transmission (or transfer case) for rear wheel speed.
The front wheel sensors are a common cause of ABS problems due to gunk, rust or broken wires.

I haven't tried to pull any codes. I'll try to look under at the transmission and inside the wheels this weekend to see if I see anything.
Thanks for your input . . . .
I have had the ABS light on now for close to 2 years. I never liked ABS much on my Sub, so it didn't bother me much when it stopped working.
Although I did take the truck to Autozone to read the trouble codes, they didn't have a scanner to read Brake trouble codes. My simple code reader doesn't read the brake codes either.
I really can't justify paying the stealership to read the codes, when I know how to drive without ABS (and grew up without ABS on my previous vehicles).
Good Luck,
