Just a simple question, not specific to 1985 year, but the older body style trucks.
For a 1 ton crew cab 2wd truck, are there by any chance 2 bearings per hub for the front wheels or would they be a single bearing unit?

Sounds sweet. Thanks!
I've never done any work on a 2wd truck so I had no clue whatsoever.
The single bearings did not come out until the IFS trucks (4X4)
Even the later 4x2 (2 wheel drive) have 2 bearings an inner and outer.
The single bearing 4x4 design is marginal at best. Under normal street and easy off road use they survive.
Put large tires on the beast and then slam it around and the singe bearing hubs are gonna head south.
Many of the guys that are serious about off roading the later trucks will toss the IFS and go with a DANA 60 front end and springs up front.
Best
