WOW just today drove a Liberty w/2.8L common rail diesel, 163hp, 295 torque. Runs real good and averages 26-27mpg with good power! Not many out there however, built 2 years, 05, 06.

I've driven one - a little plain jane on the interior, but I like the diesel rattle.

Have heard that most only deliver low 20s for fuel mileage, wondering why? They should do better...

We have over 50,000 miles on our 06 Liberty CRD, to date we have had zero problems and love it. It is perfect for getting groceries and ski weekends.

Mileage varies on how you drive it. around town it gets mid 20's and hwy is high 20's low 30's...

I've been having more and more Liberty owners come to me for a lift pump. I might have to look into one of these for a knock around vehicle...

What does a lift pump do for the CRD?

Same as the Dmax. I hear a lot of comments about fuel filter heads leaking, no starts, etc. With a lift pump they say it runs smoother, quieter, and more responsive etc.
