I'm having a new 6.5 NA engine installed in my '93 C2500 pickup next week. The turbo will be installed from my old engine. Was wondering if anyone knew how far I need to turn in the fuel flow adjustment screw on the inj. pump to come close to the adjustment on my old turboed engine? I seem to remember that clockwise increases fuel flow. Thanks for any help on this.

If the Injection pump that comes with your new engine is indeed setup for an N/A operation you will need to turn the fuel screw 1/4 turn clockwise to be close to what the original pump was set to.

You could go a tiny bit more but dont get crazy with the fuel

This info is from the install manual on a Banks turbo kit and will be very close.

You should have a boost gauge and a Pyro on the truck so that you can monitor things.

Have fun :D

Thanks for the info. I've got the boost and EGT guages.

There is a tutorial on turning up the fuel in the members section.
If you can't find it there are also good instructions at the Banks site in the downloadable instalation manuals for their turbo kits.
