I let my air filter get a little to dirty and it brought on my Service Engine Soon light. I replaced my filter.How do I get the light to reset? Its a 2001 Duramax..

Welcome to the Forums!

If the SES is because of the dirty filter, it will clear itself after a few start or warm-up cycles, depending on the fault. If not, it may/may not. You need to check the codes to know. Unless you read the DTC's, you won't know if it was air filter related. You may have other issues.

Thanks dmaxmaverick, I ordered a new filter and cleaned the old one untill the new one gets here. After sitting for awhile I started it and no SES. Thanks for the info..

Still, I suggest checking for the codes to be sure you don't have other issues. It's easy to assume you have it licked, only to be bitten later.
