Hi all,
1994,2500,4x4, 265,000, stock, suburban.
Apparently the insert where the heater hose attaches to the Tstat manifold corroded and broke off while I was climbing around replacing my OPS.
I assume the heater hose is OK but the Tstat housing needs to be replaced?
If heater hose needs to be replaced too, how hard is it usually. I see where it connnects to the firewall under the evaporator. I guess the evaporator has to come out to work on the heater hose?

Thanks,

Is this similar to the '96-97plus dual stat crossover? Its common on the dual stat setups later trucks. Robyn did a write up in the tech section.

I messed mine up then went back later and picked out the pieces and might could have reused it but didn't have patience at the time. I bought a pennisular take off and installed an after market steel quick connect and resued the OE heater line.

Not sure about single stat set up though but imagine its pretty similar.
