Greetings -
The time has come to replace the IP, apparently there are two different pumps used in this model year. How to determine the correct number? Is it visible on the pump without removing same?

And, what is the difference in the two pumps?
Thanks!

94's with HD emissions pachages had a different pump. Over the years many have been changed to the "one size fits all" pump. A programming change is required. The biggest difference is the shape of the cam ring.

The pumps can be identified by the number on the plate on the side of the pump facing the firewall. I'm not sure, but the original pump may have been 5064.

Mike,

A small mechanics mirror on a stick and a flash light you can read the numbers. Lots of patients required. It's on the pump, just start looking it over. a little spay cleaner might help too. It's on a metal tag about 1 1/2 in X 2 1/2 in. You will be looking for the numbers stamped into the tag.

Thanks, I was hoping to avoid manifold removal until the correct pump was in hand. Might not work out that way though...

It is not necessary to remove the manifold. A mirror will do the trick.
