Hi guys,
I think the heater element is leaking badly. I can watch it bubble and leak with a mirror and fuel pump lift pump pumping. Any tricks to get the housing off to work on this? I see the 3 fuel barbs but they are hard to get at. I'd like to upgrade but I'm OK with just fixing this too.
Again, is there a "special" way to get this housing off the truck to work on it?
Thanks

Remove the two bolts that attach the fuel filter housing to the intake, then lift it a ways to allow easier access to the three fuel lines. Replace the fuel lines if they are damaged as a consequence of removal.

If you need an OEM fuel filter housing (w/heater), let me know. I have some little used take-off units for cheap.

I got it out. BAsically like you described. Thanks also. Is the heater element the screw on device on the bottom and water sensor is the 3 wire probe on the side? I assume both can be replaced w/o much trouble?
Thanks,
