Just thought I would let you guys know a little info. I recently went to the 205 t-stat to try to gain little fuel mileage. So far my average is up about 1 to 1.5 mpg. I was a little concerned about towing but recently pulled about 8000lbs with my truck and never seen temps over 220 while crusing down the bypass at 65-70 mph. This was not a long trip not alot of hills but a few. I have the duramax fan with hayden fan clutch fan came on at 215-220 by the scan tool reading the gauge was two knotches past the 210 mark. Outside temp was around 85 degress and I was running the ac. I want tell you iat you can imgine w/o a intercooler. Oil temp at turbo 210-230 trans temp in pan 180-200 all synthetic. Does these numbers look normal to you guys?

I agree with what you experienced when running hotter. I saw a 1.5 - 2 mpg increase in economy when running just over 200F as opposed to the 190-195 range. I experienced it with my old cooling system which couldn't quite hold the temps down while running in 108F ambient temps.
