Turn signal problems

Turn signals work fine until the headlights are turned on then the fuse for the turn signals blows (thats the time when I need them most!). What could be the problem?

Also, the cruise control switch doesnt really seem to want to work either, however, the intermittent wiper switch DOES work. The hazard lights DO work also.

Could the turn signal lever just need to be replaced?

Sounds like there's a short in the system. It could be the turn signal stalk, but I'd use a meter and check all of the related wire circuits before spending the money on hope. The related wiring at the rear of the truck could also be suspect. There are splices and several wires there that could be a contributor.
