Oil tap

I'm trying to install a turbo oil line into the port above the oil filter and I've got a 1/4" drive female port plug in the way. My standard 1/4" drive rachet doesn't seem like it wants to turn it without enlarging the hole and rendering it "stuck". Is there a tool/socket/trick to get this out? :confused:

I've used a 3/8 to 1/4" hardened adapter. Gives me enough leverage and a little space away from the side of the block to get it out. Might try some thread penetrant first.
