Now I know this is going to be like a glue thread on a wood workers forum but I have switched to Shell Rotela T 5w-40 full synthetic and used the Mobil 1 filter. The filter looked to be leaking at the addapter block and I got high oil pressure after 2000 miles.

What is the filter of choice for you guys running full synthetic?

Thanks for the responces and I'm sure there will be some:D

I pretty much will use anything but a fram. I like wic, and currently have two that I got from one of the vendors on this site. I have used mobile one on my old porsche 911. It gets either a mobile one or a mahle. This will be interesting to watch.

I use the NAPA Gold (made by Wix).

Wix 51794 (or NAPA Gold 1794), or Baldwin B7. These are high-capacity filters (almost 2 quarts) so they may not fit on a 4WD but I know they will on 2WD. The extra quart of oil is a big benefit, as is the much greater filtration surface (obviously.)

Wix, Napa, Purolator, Baldwin etc are fine filters for conventional oil. Not sure about Mobile filter if its cellulose/conventional filter or Nanofiber. But for synthetic oils and anything for a little longer drain interval I'd use a Nanofiber filter like Amsoil/Donaldson. Or a bypass system.
