PMD/FSD problems

I just installed the remote PMD kit and my truck won’t start. When I plugged the old PMD in the truck started like normal. I noticed that the factory harness has what looks like a grounding wire and the FSD cooler heat sink has a place where I think a wire attaches, but there’s no wire in the harness provided. Would the lack of a ground prevent the truck form starting? Would a grounding wire make a difference if I mounted the unit to the bumper? Any ideas or thoughts?
BTW….the kit didn’t include instruction, so I’m flying by the seat of my pants.

Sounds like either the new hardness has a broken wire or the replacement PMD with the kit is no good.

The ground is still connected to the main injection pump pigtail harness, which your extension also connects to, so it's grounded (supposed to be).
