I was crusing Ebay the other day and entered Glow Plug and I didn't get anything new or interesting, but down at the bottom of the page I saw a small engine shops store and I went there by chance and looky at what I found.

Well to make it short he had an Onan diesel engine glow coil and so I decided to get one to see if it would work in my 6.5 here are some pics and info on it.

It is a Champion CH3 Glowcoil it has the following # on it: CH3, CX2, and 12V.

Thread: M18x1.50

Voltage: 12v

Wattage: 385watts

From the seat base to the end of the glowcoil it is just over 2 1/8" (gimme a break I'm at work with nothing, but a wood ruler.

If you click on Cummins, Ford, or Onan you get the price.

I called Napa and they can order them for $26.29.

Jim I have a couple of pics can I get you to post them if I email them to you???

Peter J. Bierman gave me the idea, but the unit he used/told me about is about $100.00 this one is more in my range.

I assume you are looking for glowcoils for intake preheat, as the unit you have posted is WAY bigger than the holes in GM diesel heads. If intake pre-heat is what you're looking for, here's some other ideas:

Click on "Air intake heaters".

Click on "Air intake heaters". Bob,

They go in the intake Peter has two one on each site of the intake running parallel to the ground. I have seen a single installed going straight down into the center of the intake.
